— Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
SetKernel Digital Inc. is committed to providing a website that is usable by everyone — including users of assistive technology, users with motor impairments, users with vision differences, and users on a variety of devices.
Standard we target
This site is built to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Where a higher standard is required (Level AAA, EN 301 549, Section 508, AODA-specific provisions), we document it in writing during the engagement memo before work begins for client projects.
What we do
- Semantic HTML throughout — proper heading order, landmark elements, list semantics.
- All interactive elements reachable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
- Skip-to-main-content link on every page.
- Colour contrast meets WCAG AA on every text-on-background combination in our design system.
- Font sizes are responsive; layout reflows for zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling.
- No motion-dependent interactions.
prefers-reduced-motionrespected for non-essential animation. - Content published in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Punjabi) with proper
langattributes on every page. - Forms have programmatically associated labels; errors are announced to assistive technology via
aria-live.
Auditing process
We audit accessibility using a combination of:
- Automated scans — axe-core and Lighthouse on every relaunch.
- Manual checks — keyboard-only navigation review, screen-reader spot-checks (VoiceOver, NVDA).
- Continuous review — accessibility regressions trigger a fix before deploy.
Known gaps
As of the most recent scan (May 2026):
- No moderate or higher axe-core findings open across the audited surfaces as of the most recent scan.
No serious or critical accessibility violations are open across the audited surfaces.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please email hello@setkernel.com with:
- The page URL where you encountered the barrier.
- A short description of what didn't work and the assistive technology you were using.
- Your contact preference for follow-up.
We aim to respond within one business day and to remediate within two weeks for issues we can fix on our end. If a barrier is upstream of our control (e.g. in an embedded third-party widget), we will say so in writing.
How we apply this to client work
We design and build client systems to the same WCAG 2.2 AA standard by default. Where a client requires AAA conformance, AODA-specific accommodations, Section 508 alignment, or EN 301 549 conformance, this is documented in the engagement memo before work begins and audited before delivery.
